Hello there, my name is Josh. I suppose you could say I’m one of the three musketeers that make up Red
Rocket Marketing. That includes my Dad (Alan) and my Uncle (Pete). We’ve all been working on getting this business up and running for about a year now and this very website is the first fruit of our labours. Hope you like it J
Now for a little about yours truly: I’m 20 and soon the big two one on the 18th of January. I started my journey at the local village primary school and on into high school where I managed to get 9 “C” grades. That secured my spot in the local 6th Form college studying double awards for both IT and Art, which I must be honest, was a waste of my time. Some of the lecturers were just plain unhelpful. I did however manage to gain a “B”, two “C’s” and a “D”. I’m sure if it was by luck alone that I got the results I did…!
My next move was going to be a gap year before deciding what to do with my life. Only after encouragement from my Mum and Dad, I decided against that and began looking for a university place. I spotted a potential course at the college where my Dad works; it was a Graphic Design course. Later I discovered that this course was only going to be running with two people, myself included. Most people in that situation would say “Uh… Thanks but no thanks.” and that’s exactly what I did.
After a little more searching I found my ideal course, it was just being put together that year for the first time ever. It was ‘Computer Gaming and Animation Technology’ or ‘CGaAT’ for the cool kids. Being the gaming geek that I am I jumped into it with both feet and enjoyed every moment of it and have now completed & passed the course I am now a BSc Hons. :)
On my days off I have been working at a local supermarket on the checkouts which, while it isn’t my preferred career choice, provides me with a little bit of cash while we work on Red Rocket Marketing projects.
